FireCLAD Fire rated exterior walls for industrial buildings
- This brochure provides a comprehensive description of the Boral Plasterboard Exterior FireClad® System - a cost effective method of upgrading the fire resistance of industrial exterior walls using a steel building frame system instead of precast masonry. Utilising ‘a membrane’ of Tyvek® Homewrap from Dupont and combined with layers of Boral Plasterboard Firestop attached to Colorbond® steel cladding, the two exterior systems have fire ratings of 1 hour (FRL 60/60/60) and 11/2 hours (FRL 90/90/90). The system is easy to install where proximity to adjoining buildings prevents conventional construction. Detailed drawings of the system and its applications accompany the text.

- FireWALL Area Separation Walls are designed for use in buildings that have a steel roof structure such as warehouses, cinemas and factories. FireWALLArea Separation Walls can be utilised in the retail, commercial and industrial sector to provide sub-divisions or fire compartments within a building envelope. These walls can be fire rated up to 4 hours (non-load bearing) and have acoustic ratings up to Rw = 78dB.
