Where To Find Trim-Tex Products In Brisbane and In The Gold Coast
When it comes to sourcing the very best materials for your new or existing home, then Trim-Tex products are often at the forefront of renovators minds.
Vinyl-covered drywall is a gypsum product much like traditional drywall, except it has a layer of decorative paper on its face. This means that you don't need to mud, tape, sand, paint or do any of the tasks normally associated with hanging drywall. Along with the production of a range of accessories, Trim-Tex is regarded as one of the key world leaders in the manufacturing of this internal plastering material - but how did they get there?
The Trim-Tex Story
The origins of Trim-Tex can be traced all the way back to 1969, when it was founded by Joseph Koenig Senior, a displaced immigrant from Yugoslavia. His dreams of becoming an American citizen and successful manufacturing entrepreneur became his reality when he received a request from a handful of Indiana based dealers who were after a corner bead that wouldn’t rust or dent. Joe Sr single handedly changed the game when he invented the vinyl bead, and transformed the metal dominated drywall industry in the United States.
Fast forward twenty years, and Joe’s son Joseph Koenig Junior joined the company to continue with keeping the business in the family. The passion and innovation of both father and son were a crucial part of keeping Trim-Tex not only in business for over fifty years, but to ensure that their products continued in combining innovation with technology.
In 2020, the Koenig family still own and operate Trim-Tex. As the very definition of achieving the American dream, the primary Trim-Tex factory is still located in Lincolnwood, Illinois. With more than 220,000 square feet of production and warehouse space, Trim-Tex inventories over 60,000 boxes of product at all times for same day shipment. The state of the art computerized inventory system gives both dealers and buyers live data, guaranteeing quick and accurate handling of consumer orders.
While Trim-Tex products have no doubt remained a popular and reliable supplier in Australia for many decades, there’s no doubt that they’re a great fit purely based on our climate alone. The products are made from flexible PVC, so users are able to create almost any shape as well as attractive and eye catching architectural features quickly and easily. However, the standout feature is that while they are very lightweight and simple to install, the PVC is also rust proof, complimenting our mostly coastal climate perfectly.
