For non-loadbearing partitions, 0.55mm TC studs and tracks are standard. Medium-duty applications (taller walls, heavier board weights) use 0.75mm TC. Structural applications require 1.2mm gauge or higher. We stock Rondo and Knauf Drywall Systems framing in stud depths from 64mm to 150mm. Stud centres are typically 450mm or 600mm for standard plasterboard. Fire-rated and acoustic systems may specify tighter centres. Always check the system detail.

Ceiling Framing

  • Rondo RCF Furring Channel (0.55mm BMT) — Standard direct-fix ceiling furring. Spans up to 1200mm between hangers at 450mm board centres.
  • Rondo Top Hat Section — For direct fix to existing structure or as a battening system over masonry or concrete walls.
  • Resilient Mounts and Brackets — Acoustic isolation components for multi-residential ceiling systems. Critical for NCC party wall and floor/ceiling acoustic compliance.

Framing for Acoustic and Fire-Rated Systems

Fire-rated wall systems typically specify 64mm or 92mm studs at specific centres with defined fixing patterns. Acoustic partition systems may use staggered or double-stud arrangements.
