Planning a Plasterboard Delivery to a Tight Job Site

Plasterboard is heavy, long and fragile on its edges, and inner-city Brisbane sites rarely have generous access. A few minutes of planning when you order saves an hour of double handling on the day.

Tell us about the site, not just the address

When you book a site delivery, flag anything that affects the truck: narrow streets, overhead lines, soft ground, height limits in basements, and whether there is a crane or forklift on site. Our drivers deliver to job sites every day and will plan the drop around your constraints.

Think about the carry path

Sheets travel best flat and supported. Decide where the stack will live before the truck arrives: close to where the board goes up, off the weather, and clear of trades traffic. For multi-storey work, order lengths that fit the stair or lift path, or arrange mechanical handling in advance.

Stage the order if the program is long

On bigger jobs it often pays to split the order into staged drops so board is not sitting exposed for weeks. Talk to the branch about aligning deliveries with your fixing program, and keep compounds and consumables on the same run to save freight.
